Wasn't David Lee Roth. Alex & Eddie Van Halen in a LA band called Mammoth? Something like there was already a band playing in the area called Mammoth so they changed the name to Van Halen right?

yeah, Van Halen used to be called Mammoth. There is also another LA band called Mammoth right now. I think they are from LA? Wes Thrailkill plays guitar in Mammoth.

I played the whisky in 92 it cost us 500 dollars, they give you tickets, you sell them, and get your money back.but we were from out of town and gave them all away.

-EARTH was BLACK SABBATH'S original name, changed it for the same reason as VH, I played in a SABBATH cover band in the 80's, yup, we were called EARTH... not that anyone cares or anything
