eh i am merely a lowly guitar dork lmao
Thank you though :)
so far joining is already proven to be a financial disaster. Hopefully i will be snatchin up that deliverance 60. Love those things.
I have been playing guitar for 22 years, used to work at a big box shop. Currently i am in a melodic deathmetal band. I sing country and just about anything else that doesnt involve growling.
My amps right now
1988 randall bluesman 4x10
1962 fender champ 1x8
1979 traynor tremolo
a coupla vox adt series amps
and the Jca100h with a depth mod, power cut, footswitchable crunch
and everything else kirk can cram into it. He sent me the schematic for a slo 100. the similarities are erie lol

I run through a basson 4x12 loaded with eminance legends
and an h30 carvin

I can vouch for Kirk. He took my 5150 and did wonderful things to it. His 5150 mods stack up next to the FJA mods. We know because one of his modded 5150s ended up screaming in a band practice match with an FJA modded 5150. We're working on getting some quality YouTube videos up.

Kirk has my Red Bear MK120 now. I can't wait to hear that thing!

Welcome aboard, Kirk, and thanks to turning me on to this forum guys. I feel so at home here!

ok im here ,this forum is very cool ,i like that guys share ideas and mods everyone seems cool.
i dont have a list of cool amps though i only play what i build ,i do however play ,american standard strat, tele,.i have a 475 charvel/jackson also a jon hill hillster double cut an xavier hollowbody a westone electra phoinex[is that spelled right?]
i really like build/servicing tube amps and mods are a specialty,i love to tweek,so ,let the games begin!

Very glad to have you here. I think you will enjoy yourself.

well, now that im getting older i've really fallen for the "tweed" sound and i have found ways to really sweeten that up ,i play alot of blues so its a perfect fit,57 deluxe circuits, but my way.
i also have built several 59 bassman circuits as well and some fender pro-amps,65-64 deluxe's as well
ive done a ton of the typical marshall circuits, which is just the cathode follower like the 59 bassman circuit with mods too long to list
ive also done some of my own versions of the trainwreck circuits ,those are wild and you get some really good sounds out of that
i like using the sozo coupling caps alot they really sound good and have used allesandro's paper and oil those also sound sweet, but are way too pricey
i have mods for just about every model amp made including the boutique boys
master volume mods ,gain mods, punch mods, clarity mods etc.. i could go on but im working on a old traynor yba-3a ,so i will update here soon and get some clips on with some of the work i do

People on Rig_Talk love mods :inlove:

Very cool, I love those old Fender tones (dont have any though) and the Trainwreck tones too. Not heard that much of those though.
Good to have a blues guy here, we dont have many in this camp.. a few though ;)
Carry on

ya trainwrecks are really expensive ,on account that ken fisher passed away ,although another local guy here known as dr.z has a z wreck out and i did have the privlage to play thru it and wow! rumour has it that z and ken were freinds
billy gibbons has one,you can youtube trainwreck and see them in action

Hey guys!!! I'm Paul from Echelon Engineering. I'm the one with the "do it all overdrive." @Shatter_The_Silence thank you for the nice compliment. We are really trying to put our best foot forward with this pedal. All hand made with top quality components. Most importantly though, we specialize in TONE!!! lol :) Check us out on YouTube.

As for Kirk, let me tell you folks, this is the man to know. He is without a doubt one of the best at what he does. I currently have a custom plexi clone in the shop (not the metro, lol the other one) and can't wait to get it back. I just recently sold my Ampeg VL-502 Lee Jackson designed head that Kirk made point to point in the power section! I am almost sorry I sold it (but I got a JSX instead so it eased the pain slightly)....But my favorite (probably until the plexi is done hahaha) is my blackface original 1967 Fender Dual Showman head that Kirk went through for me. Holy ass!!!! Some of the sweetest, most heavenly clean sounds came out of the 2nd channel on that amp after he got done with it....and that was just until he plugged into the 1st channel!! He modded the first channel to get down and dirty! I never knew that kind of gain could come out of a Fender tube amp!!!! I was absolutely floored. I believe next I am going to have Kirk build me a '59 Bassman clone....such a meaty amp...the sweetness just drips off it!! So ya, he's the man!

Anyway, thanks to Shatter_The_Silence for the invite to check this board out! Its totally sweet! Nice to meet you all!!!

PAUL-
Echelon Engineering
