I'd be curious to hear the story as well, I know you used to be a fairly prolific poster on BaM, and I enjoyed your input. Then one day you were gone, it seems strange given that PRS is usually pretty solid about customer support, especially when it comes to the Private Stock department.

Yeah that's wierd for sure. My experience with them has been excellent. Even had a few trivial things like lost allen wrenches for the trem and the little screw that tightens the trem...they sent me a package of screws and the allen wrenches free....thought they'd tell me to piss off. Also one of my PRS's Tremonti's was wired differently than my other 2, they offered to re-wire for free and cover the shipping charges. So yeah they've been cool to me...a nobody. Sorry to hear Sharks issues.

THe worst part of the whole thing (besides you being out 14 GRAND!!!) is the fact that you ordered the PRS at the same time I ordered my Thorn and you didnt order a Thorn because the wait times were so long. 4 years later I got my Thorn and here we are at almost the 5 year mark and you have been fighting the ENTIRE FUCKING TIME to either get the correct guitar, a refund, or even a FAIR compromise!!! ITS TOTALLY FREEKIN INSANE!!

IN all honesty, I would at least get it all documented, copies of receipts, emails, etc and chronologically put it all up on a web page and link it everywhere! THe dealer that screwed you shouldn't be in business and Paul and company should be bending over backwards to at least do SOMETHING for you!! Granted, I dont know that they could even BUILD the guitar you wanted now with all the BRW restrictions...but if it was my company, you would be getting a Pauls 29th for all the BS that has gone on!! I think you have been ENTIRELY too patient and understanding throughout the whole thing and its time to start making tidal waves in order to get them both to start doing something about it....otherwise you are just going to fall to the wayside.

Everytime you and I talk about it on the phone I want to sell my last 2 PRS just because it gets my blood boiling, but I cant afford to lose the coin on them in the current market. Rest assured I have NEVER suggested ANYONE to buy a NEW PRS in the last 3 years....as much as they say they have the best Customer Service around....if its a true issue that will cost them, it gets shuffled under the table just like any other company. I would go public with ALL of it as loudly as I could....if it was me.

Use a PRS guitar through a bad sounding amp and have it slightly out of tune and fretting out when you bend strings.
