Really? Then I find it interesting that my PMs with someone about a certain subject have magically disappeared. Twice.Forever until you delete them I'd have thought.

Hmm... seeing as the new board software introduced the "Conversation" system, IMHO whoever those conversations were with must've left or closed the conversations from his / her end.
