Did Jake really have a meth problem? (or rather still have a meth problem)? who is stupid enough to do meth for god's sakes! Stuff is lethal and worse than crack apparently addiction wise..

ozzy is coming to my town and I live about 100 yards from the arena where he'll play. I was such an ozzy fan for many many years, but I probably wouldn't bother walking over there to see him now unless I had a free ticket. The weather would have to be right as well. A tour with jake, however, would entice me to make the long trek

no, because ozzy demands his vocals be the loudest thing on the concert and i dislike autotune with a passion.
i can name local bands i would rather see.
he was great in his prime and is iconic and i look up to all of the pre-rola ozzy songs (they stay in rotation in my cover bands religiously) but i wouldnt even think about going to see them live. it would be self torture - a trainwreck in slow motion. it would also be annoying - up there with a live gig of kirk hamster's wah.

I have yet to hear one credible source confirm the meth addiction. Everyone who has said it, including members of this forum, backs down or disappears when asked what their source was...every time. I was guilty of saying this same thing until I was called out by a friend of Mike Varney's on another forum. Long sory short, Mike himself showed up to confirm that the meth rumors were bogus and that Jake had simply become somewhat of a recluse after being jaded by the industry. The fact that he's gained weight since the mid-90's doesn't do much to support those accusations either. I thought his daughter came out and made a post on Myspace about his drug use. Most of the hardcore meth users I know that have been using it for years look like Jake. They kind get a bloat to them, the idea of all tweakers being skinny is a myth.

My Brother WAS a Meth addict and he never did look skinny or loose a ton of weight. His face changed though, and so did his hands, face looks sunken in and about 10-20 years older, hands look older too.

I have been trying to catch up to him when I am in Vegas but from the few people that I have talked to that seem to know him say he is doing pretty well... He MC's shows at a club along with other things. I dont know how accurate it is but one of the guys down at Cowtown seem to know him pretty well and say he and his daughter keep to themselves doin their own thing...

Thats fine if hes 53, i dont believe i ever said anything about his age or looks, i only posted a link with some pics in it, i never said how good or bad he looks.
