A friend of mine wrote me this. Any idea what could be wrong with his amp?
So, for a while the lead gain channel has all sorts of buzzing and background feedback noise (sounds like a grounding issue almost) and when I try to adjust the main sound knob (even on the lowest volume setting) there is popping and cracking at a deafening level. Had the tubes (I think the main preamp tubes only) changed out a few years ago to fix the issue and it didn't seem to make a different. Amp was still playing ok, up until a few weeks ago and all of a sudden it just lost power. Checked the back and 1 of the fuses was blown. I put another one in to test and it blew that one too.
