PRS pickups in non-PRS?

I am REALLY digging the 57/08 in my SC245. Anybody using PRS pickups in "other" guitars? They sound great with the Splawn. Had to run through a JCM900 the other night and sounded great as well.

The only PRS pickup I've heard in a non PRS guitar was the Tremonti model. Sounds pretty good in a mahogany body. I'm sure that others have put PRS pickups in other stuff before, Ive just never looked for any stuff other than the Tremonti.

John Christ (ex-Danzig) used PRS humbuckers in his BC Rich Biches (HFS/VB). Even 20 years after I purchased it, Danzig II still has some of the best hard rock/metal tones ever.

Modern metal bands could learn a lot about practicing restraint from early Danzig.

Absolutely. JC is a hugely underrated player. Love his tone. Lucifuge is one of my all time favs.

PRS pickups are very awesome, string separation etc. Go for it.
