Curious – what would you suggest for teenagers in terms of revealing personal identity or adding anything online that could be tracked back to them? Do you regret it?

At one point I worried about some drug related photos I posted on my original Facebook page, but it’s all legal now so who really cares. Plus I haven’t been able to log onto it for 20+ years because it was back when you needed a university email address to have a FB account, and I can’t for the life of me find it.

As far as personal information though? Not at all. It’s all out there bro. Everybody’s info is out there whether you post it or not.

I think the only precaution I’ve used is not posting about vacation until we are back to not broadcast to the world that our house is empty.

Plus I’ve done so much work for State Detective and internet security firms that I know a few dudes that have my back if shit hits the fan lol

Yeah it's all out there. But the people that can get to it aren't generally the douchebags you run into on a guitar forum or a political forum. And if you're careful in your real life or you know, your wife is an ex-hacker and has a bunch of hacker friends, it's not really that difficult to keep all but the most talented out of your business.

At a minimum Dan it has opened you up for people to use your family against you in an argument. Which clearly is not something you appreciate. Granted, sometimes people do that only because they know you have a family, not any personal information about them. I think as a general rule, for me anyway, I try to talk about my family or my specific location or place of business as little as possible.
