One piece of wire at r36…calls for a 1/4w 5% cf axle…. Wtf is that?

The only one I ever played was modded by someone I never heard of and it was really muddy. I have heard a few decent clips and I'm sure can be made to sound decent. How close are they to an 800 schematic wise?

CF probably means carbon film type resistor, axial meaning it looks like a regular resistor with the leads coming out the ends, 5% meaning it will measure to within 5% of it's marked value, 1/4W meaning it can take that much power before it goes POOF!

I don’t see an adjustment or a point to check it either. Of course I’m a noob so….
The ValveKings I've seen are the same. Non-adjustable fixed bias. I think Peavey just biased super cold so that no (or almost no) valve you put in would get too hot, but maybe someone else can correct me. It's been a bit since I worked through the schematics.

Peaveys are all fixed bias.
Some are adjustable, some are not. The Windsor is not.

"Fixed" is misleading, as a Mesa is fixed, non-adjustable, a Peavey XXX is fixed, but adjustable.
