I've never heard a Recto that sounded anything like the Cameron I had. But Ive never played any except the shitty 3 channel models. The only thing they had in common was the ability to have a massive low end. The one I had was like a mashup between a Recto, a Mark and a plexi. And sounded titties at any volume. I sold it because I sold off most of my collection to buy a house and I was scared to death if anything ever broke how it could be repaired with all that goop on it. 🤣 Still one of my all time favorite amps and yes he is a scammer piece of shit but he definitely stole some good mods from Jose.
It’s an old joke around these parts Mike…lol… spend thousands to make your Marshall sound like a mesa…. Just get a mesa or a 5150…or an slo….

Don't know about a Windsor specifically , but my understanding is the Hot Mods prefer a cathode follower vs the Peavey plate driven tone stack . As far as Peavey's , I've only tried the Hot Mod in a JSX .
No Bueno .
Ed! I want a jsx bad. No idea why but I do….
