"So I’m looking at Tupac, and he’s trying to yell back at Suge, and I’m asking him, 'Who shot you? What happened? Who did it?' And he was just kind of ignoring me. He was making eye contact with me here and there, but he’s trying to yell at Suge. And I kept asking over and over, ‘Who did this? Who shot you?’ And he basically kept ignoring me. And then I saw in his face, in his movements, all of a sudden in the snap of a finger, he changed. And he went from struggling to speak, being noncooperative, to an 'I’m at peace' type of thing. Just like that.

"He went from fighting to 'I can’t do it.' And when he made that transition, he looked at me, and he’s looking right in my eyes. And that’s when I looked at him and said one more time, 'Who shot you?'

"He looked at me and he took a breath to get the words out, and he opened his mouth, and I thought I was actually going to get some cooperation. And then the words came out: 'Fuck you.'

I brought their first album when it came out in 92 I think. Their best IMO. After that they lost it if you ask me.

First album was incredible, great rythem section in that band, but I agree, I like audioslave actually better than their latter albums....

Kinda agree. Top to bottom, lightning in a bottle on the first album. Think I listened to that and nothing else for at least 2 weeks when it first came out. Same for Rollins Band, End Of SIlence. Lot's of good material after but no album I would take over the first one. Dug a lot of the covers they did on Rengades.

Lol. Me too, when we would be hanging out, driving around, that CD got worn big time. Was the summer I believe ??

I never cared for them, but never gave it much of a chance honestly. I just don't dig the singer and i'm not really into politics and music as a whole, mixing. Morello can play, no doubt about that.

The tracks I mentioned on this album are alright for me, kinda like candy. I guess I'm a sucker for some Brendon O'Brien stuff. Dig him.

Morello is killer, some of his solos here and there kinda get on my nerves, but he's great no doubt.

I tell ya listening to Sleep Now in the Fire, it's kind of like a blues for me even. I find myself imagining sometimes while listening to this, for some reason, the decimation of these Islamic terrorist scum Isis. It's kind of sad the horror I imagine for them. But sleeping in the fire is pretty fitting.

Does he really run his entire pedalboard through the effects loop? Seems strange  .
