Agreed, I bought my Charvel Govan from him! Got a great deal and never felt any pressure.
 
Always wanted to go take a visit there, only 2 hours away.

I bought my CS from Scott. Passionate about all Jackson. He wears out Floyd nuts like it's nobodies business. :rock: And he is cool with teh Custom Shop. Goes there and picks out woods.
 
I bought a QMT Deluxe Strat from Rainbow....sadly can't remember who helped over the phone but the guy was top notch. Still get emails from them. Awesome, awsome shop.
 
I've worked with Scott for years - great guy, for sure!

What is the wait time? What new did he have you were thinking about?
 
I actually just purchased a B7 Jackson from Scott a couple weeks ago. Great dude and actually gives a crap, can't say that about a lot of sales guys. Got a killer deal on it too!
 
Reza rainbow has a purple hum single solo they just received.

do jackson's tend to be heavier than typical superstrat type axes?

i notice a lot are in the 8 to even 9 pound range
 
Rainbow is really a great store. They have a pretty stellar selection of fender custom shop and I swear they had one of everything Mesa makes in stock. Zero pressure store that lets you crank in the amp room. My wife went to college in Tucson and her mom lives out there. I make a pilgrimage there every winter and spend most of the week at rainbow. If you can make it there I highly recommend it.

Most around 8 but they vary, especially Custom Shop's. My Redwood top has a high quality alder body. weighs in at 7.2
 
I have a busy schedule and prefer email over phone. Does Scott at Rainbow Guitars have an email address? If yes, would any of you guys mind sharing it with me (here or PM)? I have a question that I wanted to ask him about a particular Jackson CS they have in stock.

Damn they have some killer guitars. I normally don't like red but holy shit. Get this one.
