me too - I would have a hard time justifying $2500 on a China made amp. There are a lot of killer amps that are made in the USA (and a few in Germany) for that price.

Seems like the Thrasher and the satan are duds (or is the Satan even out yet?? ). Is this amp gonna be the same way?? You could barley give away a used Thrasher after paying close to $1,900 :(

Anyways, it looks like a very cool amp with all the bells and whistles. Just wish they would keep the builds here in the USA

The Satan is out. I was thinking about buying one. I have a friend that bought one and I finally got to try it this week. It's a one trick pony but that one trick is very well executed. Loads of balls, great for hard rock and metal but not a whole lot else. I liked it but not enough to spend fat cash on it.

The 667 interests me but not for $2500+ when I could spend that money on a used amp with far better sound and build quality.

my guess is the big box guys have coupons to discount it down by maybe 15% or so, but still $2k is a lot of dough...but I would bet Mike Fortin isn't going to let the build quality suffer at the expense of his reputation.

Thats exactly what Ola told me when I emailed him about it. He said the build quality is still top notch and that both he and Mike Fortin wouldn't get behind or design a sub par product.

I guess since a Fortin Meathead would have been $6500, $2500 is fair ;)
and $5000 for his NATAS - so assuming the build is decent (equal with Marshall at least) not a bad price for what you get.

As for one trick pony amps, I'd rather have an amp that does 1 thing really well, vs. an amp that tries to do a lot of genres fairly well but lacks something.

looking forward to it, I am hoping for a good result...low end thump and aggressive punch in the chest for chuggy riffs. Keep us posted

I'm glad Rez is getting one for clips, Tasteful playing and I think a true sense of what the amp will sound like

Looking forward to hearing his thoughts and clips.

I will believe it when I don't see failing products. Thats the same statement Bruce and I made with our Egnater line produced overseas.
