Anyone know if the new Randall RG412 are birch plywood or MDF or something else? I can't find any info on their construction.

I think I have one. Got it in 86. Did t came with Celestion G12M70's. MDF anchor..

I'm guessing since it isn't listed anywhere that it's either MDF or particle board.

Most of the newer Randall cabs are MDF unless its the the higher end thrasher/satan series. The older XL series cabs are birch, loaded with v30's and sound great. And they can be had for less than a used marshall 1960. One of the best used cab values on the market.

Carvin cabs are a great value. Legacy's will have vintage 30's in birch.

This. Older Legacy cabs had Greenbacks too :). Some people are scared off with front loaded speaker cabs, but I can't tell that much of a difference myself. I've been rocking a Soldano 4x12 (front loaded) for a few years and have always been fond of it.
