Boutique Amp Distribution brands - Anyone else experiencing QC issues with recent orders?

Hey all,

Just curious for some input from anyone else who has recently bought amps or cabs made by B.A.D. in recent times? (AFAIK, includes many Friedman models, Soldano, Diezel cabs [not amps] and a few others).

I've been having some pretty frustrating luck in general w/amps and shipping in recent times, but I have noticed some quality issues w/B.A.D. made products - it seems like a 50/50 thing where either everything is fine, or I receive something with obvious quality control issues (poor cabinet work/faulty hardware/iffy operational issues). Unfortunately, the "good" specimens ended up getting damaged in shipping, only to receive a faulty replacement (to be fair, I've bought through a retailer, not direct).

I know they had a fire back in 2021 and had to let some of their workforce go. I've read they had some QC issues in the following years, but it seems it maybe still hasn't been resolved?

Just curious what others have experienced with any recent buys...

I should clarify I just listed brands under B.A.D.

My specific experiences are in regards to Soldano and Diezel though.

Never had an issue with any Friedman, and I've bought nearly a dozen.

I've gotten a SLO and a Jose since the fire happened and neither has any issues.

The packaging/QC on one of the Friedman Jose's I grabbed was literally the best I've seen.... I received products from everyone for years running a few music stores and privately so I've seen a few... Hope that they aren't having issues.

Yeah they've always had a reputation for having solid QC and customer service (unless you bought a morgan)

The best customer service. Call Blad if you have any problems whatsoever and he'll get you sorted.

I live in LA so I had the opportunity to tour the factory and warehouse in 2024 when I was picking up my Friedman cab from them, and there are a shit-ton of people working there
