I had a VHT Deliverance and the EVH 5150 III 50w with EVH 2x12 for several month and kept the EVH . I have had it for over a year now and have been happy with the decision. I did test drive the Randall not to long ago but it did not out do the the EVH to make me want to switch. I think you will be happy with your purchase. Remember to try setting the channel 1 gain at 1:30 then there will not be the clean volume jump others talk about. Unless you need a really pristine clean. I think it is a great sounding amp versatile amp. I really do not use any of my od pedals any more just time based stuff.

I had the same experience as Racerxrated. Lots of tube rolling and bias adjustments on the RD100. It was always just missing something for me. I hated the clean channel too. It was really dark. I like the 5150 III much better in all aspects.

This is what I've been hearing to. But your claim is legit about the volume jump in channel 1 to channel 2 (Blue #2) because my buddy has the 5153 and he told me about it. And he's had not one single issue with it. He also stated if you want a clean channel get Fender amp. Lol!

Got the two amp at the same time , EVH gone and The Randall stayed (but modded EL34)

Did the same. Had both, and sold the EVH, (it was also my second). And, the Randall can do clean to mean all day long.

First, and foremost, ditch the Ruby 6L6's for JJ's. Tungsol in V1.

I don't understand why anyone would want to roll tubes and bias adjustment with a new amp head. If it's used that's understood. Then stick with the EVH 5150 III and call it day. If I buy a new amp head and have to change tubes then what's the point of buying it to begin with. I will not change out tubes just because I can. I'm gonna straight up use what came with the new amp head. A possible change can be done in the future. But for a brand new amp head makes no sense. That's just me.
