Hey guys, I came across a well conditioned Randall RG100ES for sale. It was a good price and I like collecting amps so I figured I'd grab it for my studio just to have. The amp does not come with the pedal made for it. Now after buying it (it is being shipped here so I don't have it yet) I am reading without the pedal, both the clean and overdrive channel are on at the same time. Is this accurate? Also, if i'm only using the overdrive channel can I just turn the volume all the way off on the clean channel and still use the overdrive channel without it effecting the tone? I'd prefer not to have to buy a pedal for it as I'm reading they have a weird 6 pin plug or something. I'd really like to not spend more $ on this. Thanks guys...All info is really appreciated.

Yep. Just turn the clean channel down or off. Used them for years without the footswitch.

Was just playing thru mine yesterday. Man, Total Pantera in a box! I've seen the footswitch for it on Reverb a couple times for 20$. The pull treble feature is pretty cool, adds gain but does drop the volume considerably. Put a graphic EQ in the loop and boost the front with an 808 and you'll be in extreme saturation heaven. Pretty cool amp for sure. Nice score
