Hey guys...I'm noticing a rattle coming from my BE-100 head when on the clean channel at volume. I assuming it's doing the same thing on the gain channels but, obviously, can't hear it. I'm guessing it's the tubes so I did the pencil micro phonic tube test and no squealing. All the tubes seem to be firmly in place. The amp sounds fine and while it was damaged in shipping and Guitar Center is going to replace it, it'll take a few weeks and this is driving me crazy. Any ideas?

This drove me crazy for a while with one of my amps and it turned out something was vibrating in the room!

That thought occurred to me as well so I plugged the 5153 50watt next to the BE into the same cab, cranked the clean and got no rattle with the BE still in place on the same cab. So....I'm at a loss.

I had a rattle once and it turned out to be the springs attached to the cap that hold the powertubes. The springs where to close to the powertubes and rattled against it.

Thanks for the help folks but I talked to Mr. Friedman. He suggest I replace the pre in V1 and viola! No more rattle.
