Metropoulos amps are done

If I could buy the same 68 Plexi kit I did years ago, I would buy another.

Why do you need a "kit"? The same components and parts are available from Valvestorm, Amplified Parts, Mouser, Digi-Key, etc. For iron, you've got Marstran/Heyboer. Simply get a B.O.M. together and order the parts yourself. You don't need someone else to package them together for you and charge you a premium to do so. No different from what Metro offered. If anything, Valvestorm might stop carrying chassis now because I think Metro made them?

Since you are an energy specialist, because you read the Guardian and have no math skills.

My home uses about 600 kwh a month, and I pay about .13 per kwh.

I bet this sounds like chinese to you although you read The Gaurdian.

I would need 2 of the units, $17,000. One to run while the other charges if there is enough sun.

Then have to replace them when they wear out, probably just throw them in a river.

Or I could just pay $78 a month for my coal/gas electric bill.

I thought about it and even started but I ran into trouble getting the same OT.

I hope he back to offer kits.
This would be awesome but I think it would still, potentially be intensive enough, it wouldn’t be enough of a step down for his health concerns. He sounds like he needs more than just a physical break. Sounds like a man who needs to reinvigorate his whole being, which could easily mean stepping away from any form of musical equipment manufacturing or supply completely…..for a while anyway.
In today’s economy, if those kits are $1500-2000, because he would source the best of the best, would any decent numbers actually buy them?
When I did a ‘69 100 watt kit, around 2008, it was around $1000.

We would need to cover the whole country in wind mills to run this one data center.

I guess these costs don't factor to you.

First there is the idiocy of creating these data centers around the world to address. But whatever tech wants tech gets under Trump.
Yeah, I remember how briben fought the tech industry. All you had to to was show him a picture of a toddler and he did whatever you wanted.

How about those cobalt mines in the Congo? Child slave labor anyone?

Renewable is a daisy too.

Marstran offers them. It's not a "Metro" transformer. But it's made by the same company (Heyboer) and they are fantastic.

Maybe I will, it;s been a while since I have dabbled.

I did buy a chassis from George a few years ago, still in the box. I probably already have the tube sockets and tubes, just need the board transformers.
