Recommend me a multi-FX unit

I'd like to keep my budget around $200-$250 or less. And the Digitech is certainly the right price but I wasn't all that impressed with the demos I've managed to dig up.

I highly recommend the TC Electronics Nova System. I run mine through the loop and the quality of the delays, reverbs, pitch and modulation effects are just awesome. I don't use the compression or the overdrive stuff. The thing is around 350 dollars. You can't beat the quality of these effects especially at that price. I really love it!
cheers

The Nova system is a bit out of my range.

I've been looking for clips for a few hours and I'm liking the G-Major (~$200) and the Intellifex (~$150). The Line 6 HD300 doesn't sound too bad either but I've never been a big fan of the "layout" of Line 6's stuff.

If you go with line 6 for effects, you'll want to go with the M series (M9, M13) or the pod hd500. The 300 as an fx unit is extremely limited. It has a bunch of good effects but you can only use and assign 3 at a time and it's difficult to navigate. The 500 gives you almost limitless options in pedalboard mode and is much easier to get around on.

I know you said the Nova System is out of your range, but I'd sell you mine for 200. I took it in a trade and knew I'd sell it as I'm a pedalboard guy. The thing is like new.

The HD series is kind of a crapshoot with amps though, in terms of whether or not it'll suck tone. On my old Mesa, it was awful, but others have decent luck with it. I'd generally recommend sticking with the M series if it's just effects they're after.

If the ro360 has the quality of gsp1101 it'll be awesome. Digitech is not the shit fx they used to be. The gsp sounds like real pedals n there's no tone suck. Also simple to use. You don't need a fkn degree to operate it.

How about Fender Mustang Floor it has midi also. Looks sweet.

You can pick up an RP1000 for around 200. Or if you want to go a little more the gsp1000. Run 4cm and they works great. Amp models are good and the effects are good as well. They were good enough for me to get rid of all my stomps. Easy to use too.

Which Mesa are you using? I had issues running a gmajor with my old Tremoverb as the loop was parallel and therefore certain effects were unusable. As far as I know all dual rec's before the 2010 reborn's were parallel.

I like my Lexicon MPX110 for reverb - and it's pretty old. The newer MX200 are supposed to be great too, $200 new.

I've got an FJA modded single rec. The FX loop isn't an issue for me.
