Hi Ross,
I'm using a new Reload 2 to attenuate my amp wall.
I'm using it in the attenuator loop of a KHE switching system.

It's been working great for about 2 weeks now.

Last night and today, after about 30 mins of playing, I'm hearing a whirring noise begin out of the Reload 2.
Seems to be coming out of the grill on the font panel. It's pretty loud and has a metallic ring to it.

It stops if I put the amps on Standby. I was only using 4 amp heads today.
Nothing like this ever happened when I was using the Captor X.

Is this something I should be worried about?

Good morning FLUXX,

Thank you for getting in touch. This may be the fan and as such is nothing to worry about — however, if you can send me a video of the noise if possible, I can certainly take a look into this for you.

Thanks so much.

Kind regards,

Ross

Thanks, Ross.
I think you are right.
I did some troubleshooting,
and it only comes on when I have my Diezel Herbert Mk3 (180W) running.
It never comes on when I just run the other amps.

I figure it's just cooling due to the increased wattage.
I'll try to recreate it, and take some video to send to you.
I'll also see if I can adjust the output of the Diezel to not make it happen.

Otherwise, the Reload 2 is excellent in every way.
It's perfect to attenuate an amp wall, cause I can run at the Ohms I need (4 ohms), adjust the Attenuation Level, and the Depth and Presence to fill it out.
Nice work, guys! I say that as an owner of three Captor X's.

Thanks for getting back to me. Great stuff and please do send over the video — I am pretty certain however that it is the fan kicking in with your high-power amp connected which is completely normal behaviour!

I am so pleased to hear Reload II is working out well for you!
