I bought my renegade head new at guitar center back in november, Ive used it sparingly due to I have a lot of amps, used it at the house for maybe 2 hrs a day for total of 5 days and gigged it 2x for 3hrs ea since i got it, last weekend towards the end of the gig Id say 3.5hrs with breaks the last 2 songs my OD channel went out good thing I have my pedals in front, at the end of the gig I tested it and OD came back on but its not 100% it has less volume not really low but i got to move the dial 2 notches up to get the volume i was at, its workin right now but the volume is still not the same :(

this happened to my Tourmaster too but this 1 is newer not like my tourmaster thats 3yrs old, I was thinkin that since its a newer model they would have worked out the bugs and reliability issues I guess not and its frustrating, I love the sound but cant have this problem every time i gig or use it not sure when it will break down again........................ need to vent out

good thing I bought an extended warranty from GC, I might have it checked and sell both cant use it again on a gig not sure when will it let me down again, I had good luck with other brands used them alot and never had any problems,I still have my Peavey C30 that I bought back in 01 and still running good with no issue hasent let me down on a gig yet.

Tubes?? Seems like most problems with tube amps can be traced back to bad tubes.

I wouldn't spend too much time on it if you have the warranty from GC. Take it in and tell them to fix it.

FWIW, I've never had this issue with my Renegade and it's chugging along very nicely after 3 years of regular use.

V3 or V4 are the most likely suspects if the problem is isolated to channel 2. I suggest simply getting one known good 12AX7 and substituting one at a time to see if it returns to normal. Tubes can fail unpredictably at any time. Always a good idea to keep spares if you can. Please report back.

Thanks for the reply, Ive switched the 4th tube and it came back to its 100% volume but this static started coming up every time I turn on the stand by switch, warmed the tubes for more than 5 mins before turning on the stand by of coarse, it only does it at the beginning after I strum my guitar it goes away not till I shut it off and leave it for a while and turn the amp back on or the next day, could it be tubes also?

heres a vid I took of it

Update:
