Reverb packing: NY vs Japan

Two guitars recieved within an hour. One from NY, one from Japan. You be the judge as to which you would have it packed.

I knew where this was going right off the bat. Somehow, I knew the Japanese would do a better job.

Last year I watched the Japanese F1 Grand Prix.

I was astounded to see the Japanese people stick around after the race to clean the stands and bleachers.

Makes me want to move to Japan.

I couldn't live in Japan, but I appreciate their attention to detail

Japanese was music shop JP. I am not talking shit on Americans. I am American. But I will say the attention to detail is next level, and I would not fear shipping guitars from Japan

Well I wouldn't count your chickens yet if the sample size is literally one. Is this your first purchase from Japan directly?
I would expect a good packing job from a guitar shop, but will you get that from anyone in Japan?

I personally have no experience ordering from abroad. It's a mixed can ordering from both shops and individuals over here for sure lol.

No it's not. Not trying to prove a point one way or another. It's just learned experience.

Only guitar I ever received damaged came from Japan. Seller made it right tho.

That giant clear pillow is how my Greco was packed. I still have it; pretty useful way to protect a guitar.

They shipped my USA KV2 from Japan over in one of those pillows as well since it did not come with a case... I was pretty impressed and had never seen anything like that before.

I get a LOT of liquor shipped to me wrapped in those ribbed air pillows.
Especially the odd shaped bottles.
Never received a broken bottle yet.
