You wouldn't be Carl F if you weren't pissed off about something.
I think Carl is mellowing. Classic Carltm would've been all, "Kotzen is such a hack that he couldn't even cut the Poison gig so they brought CC Deville back".

I think Richie Kotzen is awesome. I got a Kotzen Tele and I got a Kotzen Strat.
I simply thought Beato spent too much of the hour on vocals, that’s all

Beato didn’t talk about Richie banging somebody in Poison’s girlfriend either.

Apparently, he’s talented in other fields as well , because in another interview, he was talking about installing a whole house generator and he did it himself, which is not easy

Kotzen is also quite ok on drums and bass.
Don't forget piano/keys/rhodes. Saw him live a few years back and he was switching between the rhodes and guitar in the same song and was so smooth at it, had my eyes been shut I wouldn't have known it was one person doing both.

I like Beato and think he does a good job at interviewing people, but felt he came in less prepared on this interview than some of his others.

The other thing the Beato completely skipped over was Richie‘s use of his fingers to play instead of a pic.

I expected that too, but Richie seemed to use the pick the majority of the interview.

Great interview indeed.

Probably the first interview I have seen or heard that Richie actually sounded like is was interested in talking about things.

I think Rick asking about his Vocal style was better than the same guitar questions Richie always gets.

He did that when I saw him in Atlanta as well. It added a very cool aspect to the show that suited the tiny venue very nicely.
