I am blown away by the talent that lets me hang around here!!!!! Thank you James for doing this, can't wait to download it when you have that sorted out.

Good to see fast Eddie D. let loose in an 80s context

Kudos to everyone on some great solo's! Really enjoyed listening to the different ideas everyone had. Great job James. I know this must have been a lot of work. I pussed out and didnt send my solo in after working on it for a few hours......in hindsight, I wish I would have participated

Sounds awesome guys! These tracks kick the shit out of the Hear-N-Aid solo's...

Thank you James!

What happened to Cornfordcrunch's solo?

James that is a crazy amount of work and effort put forth on your part....very kind of you to do this :)

Congrats to all the players that submitted solos, man there is some serious talent here

Mark

James thanks for all the hard work!

What a great showcase of some of the monster talent on this board!

Wanted to give a quick review of the tune. I have listened through this several times now. Awesome!!!

1. Muudrock The perfect start to the solo section. Great pick attack.
2. bds9487 I like the run at the end of the first measure. Good job!
3. messageinblood Really like the use of the harmony. Sounds great.
4. Dawnofdreamx97 Awesome beginning!! The octave lick was cool too.
5. Tonmazz I really like the intro of your lead and the third measure.
6. Superunknown Great guitar tone! Great lead.
7. glassjaw7 I like the doubling you did. Headcutting duel with yourself.
8. Rupe Nice shred at the end. Very cool.
9. Rufus Leaking I love your choice of notes with some cool unique phrasing.
10. sah5150 Great controlled playing with some cool tapping. I like the tone as well. Great lead Steve!
11. Habuman Good job on your lead!
12. danyeo What can I say, awesome!! Great doubling and smooth playing. Glad I wasn't after you!! Cali mod sounded great!
13. Isaac Nice shred at the beginning and run about mid way. Very cool doubling as well.
14. 70Strathead Yngwie "70Strathead" Malmsteen!! Holy sh*t!! Serious you sounded just like him!
15. Chubtone Most unique tone on the clip. I didn't realize how great of a player you are. Awesome!
16. guitarguylp Cool, restrained melodic playing!
17. Ultron One of two Lynch players here. Great chops for sure. I remember your take back on DropthisD's clip from a few years ago. Awesome!
18. gibson5413 I won't comment on mine but I just tried to keep it balanced. I recorded two takes on the fly and chose the one I liked best. All improvised.
19. vinceh I like the playing in the first and second measure. Nice and smooth licks.
20. Joeytpg Good job Joey. Really shows where you are at in your playing style right now.
21. Sam Hill Mark is the other Lynch influence. Seriously awesome! I love the second measure phrasing. The end is dead on Lynch flavor.
22. dstroud Freaking awesome! The tone and playing was awesome!!!!
23. Kaleiwahea I don't know you but really liked it. Loved your choice of notes in the whole first measure!
24. Mick Cool and unique intro. I like it when you changed pickups as well. Good job!
25. degenero Ed is the man! Great as per usual from Mr Degenero!
26. Song Hunter Great solo! Fit really well!
27. Splawner Nice finger tapping!
Last track: Original solo by my guitarist Dan McMains Perfect ending to a monster song!!

James, thanks again for such a cool effort!! It was my pleasure to be a part of such a cool project! Seriously, not one dud anywhere on this tune. I am proud to be a part of it and this forum. You all rock!!!

KILLER KILLER KILLER!!!!

Bunch of amazing solos in there! I've listened to it twice and my favs were #'s 1, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18 ,21, 22, 23, 25 and 26

#1 is the winner for me though. Not the fastest or flashiest but really captured the essence of the song/groove. 70's strathead/Sam Hill were tied for my second fav...

Thanks man!

Man the west coast bought the pain in truckloads on this one, freaking Curt and Ant back to back is just scary.

no problem

Just listened to all of it, great job all around guys!
You did a great job James, I didn't have to strain to hear anyone's take...nice balance with all the different lead tones.

Just woke up and listened to the track. So cool. I have so many riffs stuck in my head from making this. Also from getting all the levels from one solo to another I dropped the cursor at the end of so many solos into the next it's warped my mind. Great job guys!

James

Appreciate the time and effort you put into this, James. Dig your voice, and guys, great work on the solos.

My vote for best "stand alone" tone is Chubtone. When I was watching the videos of "J-Luge" (that's my pet name for him)editing this thing, Chub's part was one that was solo'd and I thought "Holy Crap, that is a great tone!!". Unfortunately, that is a great example of a tone that sounds stellar by itself, but gets a little lost in the mix. I don't mean any offense by that Chub, and I wouldn't have brought it up if you hadn't asked about it. In a recording session for your cd that you should be doing :gethim: , it could easily be post eq'd to stand out more and it could sound in the mix very similar to what it sounds like by itself - like I said, it's an awesome tone; best one on there, imo. I just see an opportunity here for us all to learn a little bit, that's all.

Thanks again James! great job.

You know, when I re-read my second sentence, it almost implies that I dig guys........

Thanks James!!! This is cool as hell!

Like some others, my track is a bit "off" from the way I recorded it but I appreciate the work that you put into this...a big thumbs up from me  (just wish that you hadn't yelled "9" over my final sweep ;) )

Rig Talk definitely has some great players on board...a refreshing change from the "collector" mentality that I see on so many other forums.

HAHA, i like your little Satch lick in the middle there, i knew that would be you.
Seriously, your lead was killer. I always enjoy listening to your lead playing. I remember your take on DropthisD's (Phil) metal jam a few years ago too. IMO, it was the best on that clip.

Ha! You notcied that huh? I am a poor mans version of Satriani, no question!

Scott, we could have used some more Cali mod in there. You definitely have the chops to keep up with anyone here.

Wasn't your track the .wma? The conversion probably altered it slightly.
