Director of Natural Resources for a Tribal Government, responsibilities include the restoration, reclamation and enhancement of 13.7 million acres of Northern Michigan known as the 1836 Ceded Territory. My staff consists of Fisheries & Wildlife Biologists and their techs as well as Water/Air Quality standards and Brownfield folks. We do a lot on a meager budget of roughly $2M annually. Its a great gig, but with all of the detrimental effects occurring within our environment; invasive species, pollution, etc, its a lot to process and keep a positive outlook for the future. This is a great thread and I appreciate and respect the vast array of talent comprised of all who have shared.

And great work you are doing Jimmy!

Thanks Jeff, to try and balance out the negatives, we're currently working on two feasibility studies, one for the reintroduction of Elk and the other for Grayling within the Manistee River basin. We're also in our 8th year of Sturgeon restoration on the Big Manistee. We couldn't do it nearly as well without our Federal Counterparts, Forest Service, Fish and Wildlife, Army Corps, NRCS, etc.

if you're anywhere near corn, don't bring in the Elk. won't be long and you'll be getting sued, and you'll have to slaughter the herd.

the elk will wipe out hundreds of thousands of dollars of corn when they're in the late velvet stage.

no corn, there is a herd about 250 miles north, lots of corn fields but no ones getting sued, farmers use the herd to draw in hunters and for a substantial fee, guide them in for that big chance at a 7 x 7

Thank you. Those are ideal transport for black out flights between FOBs in Iraq.

When I first seen it, I thought you were hunting deer in West Texas.

Electrical Engineer for Rockwell Collins Head Up Guidance Systems...Funny thing is, I bought more gear when I was a broke student than I do now. Now I just pay off my credit cards for the gear I have had for 5 years

I'm a full-time student, but I'm riding on a 100% scholarship, so the money that I do earn from doing website work goes to music gear

I manage the audio-visual department at a hotel for a national AV company. On the side, I have a recording studio and small sound company. I do some touring work - was out with comedian Dane Cook as a cameraman last Fall across US and Canada. Was supposed to be out with him again right now but couldn't get a leave from the hotel. Occasionally, I even get to play music!
