I manufacture Cobalt 60 and Caesium 137 into cancer therapies, blood irradiation and radiative sterilization devices. Because of this I glow in the dark. Some day I hope the radiation turns me into a superhero. I would call myself Clitoris Rex!!!

Director of Natural Resources for a Tribal Government, responsibilities include the restoration, reclamation and enhancement of 13.7 million acres of Northern Michigan known as the 1836 Ceded Territory. My staff consists of Fisheries & Wildlife Biologists and their techs as well as Water/Air Quality standards and Brownfield folks. We do a lot on a meager budget of roughly $2M annually. Its a great gig, but with all of the detrimental effects occurring within our environment; invasive species, pollution, etc, its a lot to process and keep a positive outlook for the future. This is a great thread and I appreciate and respect the vast array of talent comprised of all who have shared.

Thanks Jeff, to try and balance out the negatives, we're currently working on two feasibility studies, one for the reintroduction of Elk and the other for Grayling within the Manistee River basin. We're also in our 8th year of Sturgeon restoration on the Big Manistee. We couldn't do it nearly as well without our Federal Counterparts, Forest Service, Fish and Wildlife, Army Corps, NRCS, etc.

I have heard back on FAR - 81, and AUD - 91. I am waiting to hear back on REG (should be any day now) and I take BEC on 11/23.

I thought FAR was a beast. Covers all of Intermediate Accounting and Advanced Accounting. Just a ton of information in both volume and variety.

I actually thought AUD was easy and I HATE Auditing. This test is all memorization and no calculations except for the possibility of seeing audit sampling stuff or ratio analysis. Mostly just boring reading, though.

I don't know how I feel about REG. I felt pretty confident going in as I put in quite a bit of study time, but I left a little unsure. The test was pretty technical with a lot of fairly specific questions. I felt ok with the tax stuff, but I'm not sure I fully grasped the Business Law topics as well as I should have. The wait is killing me - I took the test on 10/15. I am looking for a motivation boost for BEC.

Obviously haven't taken BEC yet, but I've been through the review book and it's a pretty mixed bag of topics - Business Structures, Economics, Finance, IT, and Cost Accounting.

How far along are you in your undergrad?

Awesome! I got offered a job awhile back near Reno restoring the vegetation and wildlife to one of the rivers out there. I've been kicking myself for passing the opportunity for months, because I've been wanting to get into that field for awhile, but at the time I was concentrating more on getting into university and doing the 'normal' young adult garbage. I was out there volunteering for a conservation company that works all over that side of the country. It was a great experience, but I was wanting something a bit more serious of a commitment.

I thought Intermediate was a bitch as well. I think I got a C in Intermediate I (wanted to change my major after the first class) and a B in Intermediate II. Unfortunately both were night classes so it was just a bombardment of info for 3 hours. I didn't think Advanced Accounting was too bad and I actually found it fairly interesting (and got an A).

Sounds like you're well on your way. Good luck
