Many here might not love the Grateful Dead, that's your choice. But he was a true legend and probably racked up more hours on stage than almost any musician in the modern era.
RIP Bobby. I'll play Jack Straw in your honor.

May his memory be a blessing and may he rest in peace.

Eternal rest grant unto Robert, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Requiem aeternam dona Robert, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis. Requiescant in pace. Amen.

I’m a huge Dead fan.
Remember seeing Bobby in his band Ratdog years ago at the dome in Henrietta, NY.
Nobody was there. I was leaning on the stage directly in front of him. I could turn around and walk to the back table where they had rows of cups full of beer and then walk right back up to my place at the stage.

Even though technically not his song, he played a wonderful version of Jerry’s Birdsong amid working into it at different points in the show. Jerry had only been gone a couple years. That melted right in to Little Feat’s Easy to Slip.

I got those tapes soon after the show and played them for years after.
