There was a post about it on gesrslutz but Jules took it down. I don't know why, don't know if he wasn't sure of the facts...
That pretty much mirrors my experience and thoughts...RIP Gary.Chubtone":1rpfab65 said:One of my all time favorites. His work in the early to mid 80's inspires me to this day. I had never heard of him until I read the Randy Rhoads memorial issue of Guitar Player magazine in 1982 or 1983. Randy cited Gary as an influence and I went out and bought "Corridors of Power". I dug Gary from that point until he softened up too much.
I'm sorry to hear he has passed as I always held out hope he would return to his early form. Such an amazing phraser. One of the all time best at phrasing in my opinion and what's more important than phrasing? Sad news.

But i'm really sad tonight..
Gary Moore was the reason i picked up the guitar many years ago..I owe him so much..
He always was and forever will be my favorite musician..
Again i'm sorry for intruding like this..But if you can't share this with fellow guitar players, then i guess that leaves noone..
R.I.P. Mr. Moore..
Take care everybody..
