The guy is worth about $170 million as it is. I don't think it's about money for him.

Why? Because no matter how low the band detunes he can't sing the material. He'd rather play the Zep tunes with his shitty band than the real deal

His current band is far from shitty.

That was basically my point.
He can't hit the notes and certainly doesn't need any money, so why do it?

Watched a few vids. 7 of 13 tunes are rearranged Zep tunes. Rearranged to suit his not being able to sing them properly.

There is truth there but I wouldn't call his band shitty. I've actually liked several of the arrangements of the of Zep tunes his bands have played over the years. The Strange Sensation show was really good IMHO.

Regardless, he's still Robert Plant, they're still his tunes and people are still happy to pay their hard earned money to see him perform them.

I say good for him.. Let led Zeppelin be in the past for nostalgia purpose.

Good for him. Goes to show that money can NOT buy everything and everyone. He doesn't need the cash and apparently he's in a place musically where he doesn't feel the need to cash in on the legacy of LZ. Let Zeppelin be remembered for what it was. More of these geezers should follow his example.

Coverdale would do well to follow Plant's lead ...

^ nah, it's just an interesting topic - a lot moreso than the rest of the drivel on the main page!
