Man, that sounds great. Listened to the other clips you did. I'm really looking for something that does both a good Marshall 80's type thing and the more modern thing like you did that doesn't break the bank. Do you think the 50 watt would sound that good? That's in my price range.

Both the 50 watt and 100 watt are equally great, IMO. The only main thing that might be worrisome is the shared channel on the 50 watt, but it's not a big deal for most people. The 50 watt might even be better in some situations.

Honestly, it doesn't sound like the shared eq channel on the 50 would be an issue for me. From what I understand the rub on that is the balance between the clean channel and channel 2. Supposedly it isn't an issue at gig volumes. But seems like there's a few ways to get around it. And, I rarely use a full on clean anyway. I like to use the volume to get a semi-clean which i understand can be easily done on this amp. Unless, of course a crystal clean is really needed. I am just stunned at how good the 50 watter sounds at that price range. They have a real winner in both amps.

There's really not a big difference with channel 1 and 2 if you aren't looking for crystal clear cleans... and anyways, who gets an Eddie Van Halen amplifier for the cleans? The blue channel even with the gain cranked sounds great when you back of on the guitar volume. love my 50 watt!
