Been listening to S.O.D. Quite a bit the last few days and this riff popped into my head....

Balaguer Archetype with an EMG 81 in the bridge, straight into the amp with an MXR 10 band EQ in the loop cutting 500 about 6.

That sounds wicked. I’ve gotta get a 10 band one of these days. I’ve got a Boss 7 band and don’t really dig it.
 
You make me miss my old amp with these vids! :LOL: :LOL:
It has that perfect “Ride the Lightning” grind.
Sounds great with the MXR EQ and the EMGs. I couldn’t get it quite the way I wanted with my passive pickups and didn’t have an eq pedal at the time. I used an overdrive on very light settings just to give it a similar slight push to tighten it the way I wanted.

This amp is such a great compliment to my Cherry Bomb. Brings the heavies in a flavor I love while being different enough to scratch a different itch.
