Sammy Hagar bashes DLR and Van Halen

Never happen but I'd pay to hear Ken Tamplin sing on a new record. Great pipes and he'd fit the new clean-living standards Ed wants to maintain.
 
roth was never really a singer in the traditional sense......he is a vaudeville song and dance ladies man and in reality a salesman for ed's product: used cars/guitars/amps/effects pedals and sneakers
 
Speaking of the range of DLR.......was heading home from a Doc appt and heard Sensible Shoes by him.
What a great little diddy. I blew past most of his stuff after Sky Scraper. But really dug this tune.
Seemed to fit his voice with ease.
 
^That's on the JBecker disc I think. Cool stuff on that disc, I may have to break it back out.
FWIW, DLR never "lost it" as a live vocalist, in fact, he probably improved, lol. Studio stuff is great and live is not American Idol, it's all about Showtime
 
Not surprised Sammy is sore about being kicked out. Anyone who has been kicked out of a band knows its tough to get over, especially when you think you are better than the guy filling that role now.

I must applaud vh for no overdubbing on the live album and releasing it warts and all. Still I am waiting for a new vh studio album....
