I applaud your ambition. What did you use the disc grinder for? Did you strip the guitar with it?
I’m not sure what it’s called in American. But I used 180 per centimeter. The rest has to done by hand

You better put SS frets in now while you have the chance. If you don't you'll regret it and while you're at it use a veneer for a transparent finish and ace that middle pup like Dan said, that is the correct method to cover up the middle pup cavity and never show any kind of bleed or seeping from filling a void. A new top will look amazing bro.
You bet!

Let us see your choice in veneer bf you buy it? Nothing too coffee table, guitars that have that fine furniture look are lame.

I hope you got this super cheap to have to put this much work into it......:dunno:

Does Gibson usually route all their bodies for 3 pickups then have to fill them?:confused::confused: Or was this originally a 3 pickup model??????????

Looks like the process is going well, congrats! Can't wait to see how it turns out!:2thumbsup:

That’s awesome. Can’t wait to see what you do with it. I’ve thought about that many times but never get past the thought.

Pete . . . . I don't know how you can walk with those Ballz Bro!!!! Sanding a 3 PU Gibby Custom down to the nick! Brave move. Can't wait to see how it comes out.

Others mentioned a fret job, since ya have it all nekked n stuff.

I added jumbo ss frets to my LP Classic, playing it right now. 100% recommend. It played great before. It plays better now.

Original a 3 pickup guitar. :)

For context, this builder uses almost exclusively veneers in his builds.
