Over the weekend, me and a few buddies went downtown to check out Dream Theater at the Chicago Theater. This was actually the 10th time that I have seen them play, and I was completely blown away this time around how good of a show it was. Set was tight, production was great (usually DT production is nothing to ride home about), and Labrie never sounded that good live. To me, its amazing how a band at this stage in their career just seems to be getting better. And Mangini tore it up.
On a side note, we actually went to Petrucci's clinic on the north side earlier that day. Really cool experience to have him show you some tips, answer some questions, take pictures and sign some autographs. Met him a few times and he is always such a nice/down to earth guy. Overall, great day, just figured I would share.
