haven't got to hear any M's.

i've got a pair of H75 and a pair of H55, and prefer the 55.

compared to my Stan Specs, i like the Stan's more than the heaver magnets on the H's. but the H's are keepers and have thier place.

I got M's and H's, love'em both.

Jim has a completely awesome handle on speakers. What you will need to try and remember is that trying to compare his speakers to speakers in say celestions etc. as far as break up depending on wattage is out the window. The m-75 and the H-75 65 watt scumbacks will break up in a better way than the new produced speakers most will order and install and play. I got two cabs or three with Jim's scumbacks and they are my got to cabs.
I actually took 1 cab with an x-pattern of m-75 and h-75 65 watt speakers in it and an identical cab with 4 celestion greenbacks to a gig and 1st set played the scumback cab and 2nd set played the greenback cab and after the nite was over people were coming up and asking what the hell I did to give this band I sat in with and played rythm all nite the best tone they had ever had at any club these people had ever followed and paid to see these guys. I asked them which set they liked the sound and tone from the best. :D They siad no F'n doubt the 1st set.
They actually said I must have changed my settings on the amp and while it still sounded good, the 1st set was F'n flaming the club. I felt really good catching that kinda praise from a product that I got straight from Jim at Southbay Scumbacks. SCUMBACKS ROCK......................AND NOTHING ELSE COMES CLOSE IF YA WANT THE ORIGINAL TONE FROM THE DAY WHEN TONE MATTERED MOST!

So has anyone tried the Scumnicos? They are pricey, but I bet they sound killer!

hello james,..i enjoyed your amp shoot out!

can ya tell me what you hear as far as the difference between the H/M75's?.....and i see that ya also put v-30's in both of your scumback cabs,...what did this do for the sound?...or was this just for recording purposes??.....did you find the v-30's over powering the scumbacks?

thanx

:) Sorry for the late reply sg guy. I have the scumbacks in a bogner 4-12 straight cab and 2- mojo 4-12 straight cabs. I really feel like the h-75's and m-75's hang in there on a level sound output. Scumback speakers are impressive and well worth it.
