Been through (3) Randall's over the last two weeks and just not getting there..
 
Question: I hear the D-Moll only sounds good at blistering volumes....any truth? What about the Collosus?

Not sure where you heard that but I don't think it was from a Diezel owner/player. YMMV but Diezel has some of the best loops and master volumes around. I use a vol. pedal in the loop to attenuate. Haven't played a Rhodes but I'm sure they have an incredible MV too.
 
Have the Nitro, Uberschall Rev. blue and Ecstasy Classic and I think you would love the Uberschall. I honestly don't find mine dark at all. Balls to the wall heavy at times and some say designed for 7 stings but I just F**K**G love that amp. Nitro is a beast but there is something "honky" about it. Yes mine is in a white head shell and that's not why it's "honky". Check out the MAKO stuff Andrew makes a killer amp. Have the MAKO MAK4 and I hate preamps but its pretty badass and versatile.
 
Love the uberschall twin jet (kt88) and ALMOST got one last night. It may be my next one trick pony but once I can post in the classifieds, I'll make a real offer on that d-moll....unless someone helps me with it now

I may need a "cheap"....trying out the Bogner 20th Anniv Ecstasy (6L6's) right now....pretty bad ass, but still wanting a SCREAMER.....
 
Ok last post......diezel d-moll or Rhodes Colossus?? Uberschall at a later time....
 
I've owned both the Rhodes and Diezel, D-moll for the win for me.
 
if looking at Rhodes you may also like the Gemini 2 channel ,more voicings and more gain (5) stages.
Rhodes stuff will do "Anything"

From clean ,Crunch ,Super Hi gain , screaming lead
with the voicing options it can be looser like an Uber ,tighter like a VHT etc
 
So Deizel is out...D-Moll. Hagaen, Herbet???? want MAX crunch!!
