Self-studying or tutoring?

It depends on your personality.

Can you hold yourself accountable for practice time and goals?

It's no knock on you if you cannot, many cannot.

But if you can, you can self tutor just fine.

For starters quit listening to guitar players if you dont youll never get it right.

Finding a good instructor, even for a few lessons, can show and teach you things there and then which you would never figure out by yourself or going through YouTube videos for years. Do both.

A mixture goes a long way but as stated, comes down to your personality. I've done classes for some more advanced stuff but still take it upon myself to teach myself things that augment.
