So this guy contacts me on my email saying he has an item I was looking to buy, so I say ok,he sends 2 pictures and I ask "do you take paypal?" so he says no, only western union. I tell him I don't do western union for security issues and he tells me that he swore to not use paypal a long time ago since he was hacked, and that he doesnt have any friends that could receive the paypa payment for him. I tell him on which forum he saw my ad and he says here, and when I asked him if he could tell me his username he said he would not give me his username since his deals are based on trust not fear :D He also urged me to send payment today as apparently he would not be able to make the sale some other day ...Should I be wary????

Reverse it and ask him for his bank account information so you can transfer money to him :)

Oh that guy... I think he is a Nigerian prince or something.. nah he is cool ;)

Seems legit. If it's a piece of gear you want, definitely jump on it ASAP.

Go with your gut instinct. He approached you and wants you to pay his way, no thanks.

This is the only way to buy a used Dumble or '59 Les Paul. ;)

for some of you let me explain......the OP is not really thinking of sending $ to this guy :loco:

To really simplify things, you can always just mail the cash to the seller's PO Box provided.

:D

sarcasm in case anyone actually misses that ;)

if so then, :scared:

I was lining up a trade couple days back. Other guy put all these goofy demands on the deal as well.
I just stopped replying. He isn't a member here.
Some guys have no common sense or morals.
