Wow, there is some serious talent in here

@scottosan - I wish I could send you my Strat

Prototyping my own guitar preamp as a plugin. Once I get the sound right, I might make a hardware preamp out of it.

No sorry, no progress. Building those guitars always take me a very long time. Usually several months to 1-2 years.
Probably the next guitar i will finish will be a BC Rich Stealth copy. Its already painted black, only needs to have the logo applied, then clearcoat and then assembly.

Another long time dormant project I am finally finishing. My Kramer Imperial 1983 build Nuno/Dime guitar, body wood is Poplar, Body is a KNE Neck is a Musikraft Maple with Pao Ferro fingerboard, 6100 Jumbo frets. All the drilling and fitting is done, pressed in the floyd bushings, installed the 42mm brass block on the floyd. It's going to have two volumes, one tone like Dime's Deans. I have a Duncan 59N for the neck and a Bill and Becky L500XL or a Wes Hauch Jupiter for the bridge whichever pickup sounds best. I still have to clearance the rear pickup cavity in the ear sections since I moved the pickup back some from the original rout and it looks like I may need to install a tiny shim in the neck cavity, but thankfully the neck is straight after sitting so long. I just strung it up to do a quick setup to see how things fit and if the body was dead or resonated......luckily the body resonates well. I'm still not happy with the how the KNE body fit the Musikraft neck but I just did some sanding to make it work. Next up is sealing the body and then priming and painting then clear coating with polyurethane satin clear. Color is going to be mettalic Copper.

Hey Scottoson, any tips on getting the Kramer waterslide decal to adhere, set and blend well?

I saw a YT vid a guy used this Microscale soution to do his Kramer decals on a 5150 build so I picked up some Microscale Micro SOL and Micro Set bottles. It is supposed to be good stuff for softening and setting decals but I have never used it before. I really want to get the decal transparent and set well before I spray the ply clear coat over it.

Cool build!
I've had a couple of poplar bodied guitars that sound great. One was my first electric, a Charvette HSS built in Japan, with a Ft Worth neck plate. Should've kept that.
My Squier 70s Classic Vibe strat sounds great. ToneNerd pickups def help, but it sounded well above the $400 price before the new electronics.

Thats sweet!
My Tele with p90s rocks.
Which pups did you go with?

I'd like a LP Jr, or something similar like an Anderson Bobcat Cub with a single P90, to sit next to it.

They are Seymour Duncan Vintage P90's.

Sound really good to my ears...

I made this quick clip tonight:

Thanks!

It took me awhile to determine my old 83 Kramer was poplar as they use maple during those years as well but once I did I searched and found another just like it with a close serial number. I've also built a maple body Charvel JEL guitar, it's heavy as hell and a Northern Ash Franky. Poplar is warm but with some snap to it and it offsets the Floyd's brightness nicely is why I like it. Sometimes you just find something that works for you and poplar works for me.
