Just moved into a new space, and the basement is mine! The PC is a brand new build. The Sig:X had to go, but I have a Herbert inbound, as well as a Mills Afterburner. Muhaha.
you need to move your desk to be in the middle. your monitors have crazy reflections when in the corner like that
Meeotch said:Thanks for the feedback guys. Here are a couple more shots of that corner to clarify how much space I have. I am planning on mounting my monitors on stands to the sides of the desk. Even with that couple feet of space on the right, do you think it's still too close for reflections? Maybe I would be better off just putting it in the center of the wall, and having amps on both sides of the desk?
Yes, take down the shelves and put the desk in the center.
Some room treatment would be nice, but at the very least, you're gonna need a large area rug under the desk & chair, and out into the room a little.
That room, as it is now, is gonna be awfully bright and reflective.
I’ll rephrase that. Lighting is important but having at least a 1:1 ratio of beer taps to amps is a necessity for any good music room.mhenson42":3qponwzy said:View to the left... 4 beer taps, 3 amps

Cool setup, but may I suggest bass traps in both corners there? They will probably do more for your sound than the scattered Auralex.Nitrobattery":2cyt3qf5 said:My little nerd area
