I am looking to replace a neck position single coil with something hotter for leads. Guitar is an esp bolt on. I have been reading about the chopper and air norton s. Is one preferred over the other. Any other suggestions? Thanks

I always liked the air norton pickup-that was the normal sized one. I'm not sure if the output is the same with the single space. I'd try that chopper too, though.

I've got a chopper in the neck of my bc rich st III and I do like it, I believe I'd like the air Norton s better just because it's a little higher output.

I just put a new Seymour Duncan SHR-1N neck rail in my ESP Lynch and it sounds great, with plenty of power and it has nice sustain, the notes are really full and rounded, rich sounding..its really a great sounding pickup.

I like the above video demo especially at 9:05 with the neck and middle pickup, crisp sounding, and I like the song.

Duncan lil '59 is pretty cool, fat sounding and you can split it for vintage single coil tones as well!

I had a chopper and cruiser. Fast track 2 was my favorite. Pretty hot pickup.
