By the way, I would disagree with this because if one is accustomed to picking every note then hammers and pull offs aren't going to be a big part of their game because it's not practiced. It's a different feel and can mess with your timing during pure legato runs if it's not something that's practiced.

Sounds like your doing the most of the hating in this thread.
I posted because I watched this video that made me think wow awesome scales, but legatos just as easy if not easier than picking the same scale whats the big deal.
Then I read everyone creaming in their pants over this so I wanted to see why everyone thought this was some Godly trick that no one on earth can do.
Your just a hater hater....Hater!Bob Savage":1zpuu076 said:I'm a big hater dude. Ask anyone. I hate so much that I even hate hate. It's not easy, but I do it.

I sat front row and he just truly is a guitar genius. Me and a friend stayed until everyone else left and got to hang and chat with him a little bit. Really cool guy. During his clinic he basically said that part of his success at the instrument is due to going to this "big old ancient building full of paper" (the library) and reading guitar theory books as a kid. I remember he said you dont know a scale or mode truly unless you can hear it completely in your head and sing it out loud. He's just simply a true master of his craft. Learned a lot of other cool stuff from him that day, will never forget it.
