After trying several tubes in V1 of the SL the winner is a Chinese 12ax7 that came out of my Tube Driver. They all sounded good but the Chinese 12ax7 had the attitude and tightness that I was looking for. Here are some of the tubes I tried.

I'm using the Tung-Sol R.I in V2. It sounded a touch better than the Sovtek WA.
