man... volbeat. i am not trying to say anything negative about musicians but sometimes it is hard. not my cup of tea. but they are out there playing music and i am working a desk job so.

it is also really hard for me to see the new tool album as the best album of the year. however i can see why it took them so long to release it. really long meandering parts with very few rewarding rocking parts.

gojira are fucking awesome. would love to be in a band like that with my brother.

I went to see Anthrax couple years back. They opened for Volbeat.

Volbeat are a pretty good band in that they have lots of cool riffs, great guitar tone, well produced, etc., but I just can't get past the singer. He sings every song the same and after 2 songs, everything just sounds like the same shit over and over again. It's really a shame. I'm sure with a different singer they might actually be worth listening to.

Volbeat guitarist has a pretty amazing live rig that usually consists of Fryette Sig:X's. His tone is killer but yeah, the singer is just awful.
