I think we, the forum members that have given you deposits, deserve to know just what you do with our deposits while waiting for the amps to be built...
You've had my $500 for a Friedman JJ since January this year. I spoke to Dave Friedman and he doesn't have my deposit...

Oh. I would have thought that vendors/retailers obtain deposits from customers to then immediately remit them to the manufacturer(s), so that THEY (the vendors/retailers) get a guaranteed allotment of stock as it rolls off the manufacturer's assembly line.

I think what Brad is doing is good for the fact that if Freidman bails or closes shop for whatever reason Brad can still give you your money back or get you something else as a dealer of musical goods.

I have had this happen to me where I placed an order for a custom guitar from a dealer instead of the builder. The builder BRJ fell off the face of the earth and I was waiting over a year. The dealer held on to my deposit and didn't give it to the builder. So I was able to either get a refund or buy something else from his shop.

Guys, I believe his concern has nothing to do with Friedman or getting the first JJ. I believe His concern is regarding Brad's shop (I could be wrong). I think I know what he's talking about with his passive comments and understand his concern. I think Brad probably eased his mind with stating anyone can run a credit card.
