Tube storage - What do you use?

What are you guys using to store your tubes? I have been using a box and kind of stacking them in there in boxes, etc, but I need something different, especially since my collection of tubes withou boxes seems to have somehow grown. Tackleboxes?? I do not have thousands like others but have a decent amount.

I just leave them in their boxes and put them in old pedal boxes for preamps and el84..... For bigger power tubes I leave them in their original boxes in a milk carton

My working amps are fully kitted with the best Mullards I could find.
I have two carrier bags stashed away somewhere, filled with other valves, collected over the years. They will have been removed for a good reason. Usually the fucking sound.

Mine are either in the original vintage boxes or wrapped in newspaper and put in shoe boxes on a shelf.

I just put them in cardboard boxes but if I was bringing sets to gigs I'd probably buy a harbor freight hard case. These little cases are amazingly good for the cost, which I notice has risen again...

I have the strongway 16" from northern tool for my pedalboard. It was $30 a year ago, now $35.

Yep, that's the ticket and what I use. I don't hoard like I used to. Maybe 3 pairs of 6L6 and maybe 4 flavors of EL34, E34L, KT77's. I have maybe 25 or so preamp tubes. Tungsol, Mullard, JJ, Gold Lion, EH, and Chinese Ruby's with some NOS 5751's, and 12AT7's.

ATA flight case I got from NOAA. It's the size of a large oversized suitcase.
Four paper boxes filled.
I bought 3 sets for every amp a year before the prices went up. I started collecting them in 1969.
Tested all of them a few years ago.

Looks like most people do about the same as me - just stack them in a various box. It works well enough for sure, can't complain.

The tube egg crating could be a cool idea as well. I see they have different diameter sizes available as well. Thanks for the ideas.

If you just want to protect loose tubes, the Tube Depot sells those plain, white cardboard tube boxes in all sizes. Keeps loose glass tubes from rattling around and you can label the white boxes as needed.

When I have an excess of tubes, I usually just buy another Dumble or Trainwreck to store them in. Sometimes, when I'm a little low on disposable cash, I'll slum it and buy a Mark Sampson era Matchless to store them in.

Whichever way I choose to store them is inconsequential to the point here: I like the nice, secure connection that holds the tube in place so I don't have to worry about them getting damaged when stacked in a storage room.

I try to keep power amp tubes in the original containers. Sadly, most of the pre-amp tubes I have are loose in a box. I don't any of them are high dollar though.
