So I've come to the realization that I just can't buy all the amps I want and be married n'stuff   So rather than chucking away half of everything I own and paying lawyers n'stuff I decided to pick up a powered Kemper off Reverb... it came in last week but it wasn't powered. Seller went AFK and reverb is tracking him down telling me not to worry

Anyway... I finally plugged in and took fit for a spin. This my first time with a Kemper and I got to say I think I get it. Its not like an amp in the room at all. Its more like how my recordings sound after time spent dialing in and mixing. Anyway this is my first test with it, Enjoy!

That sounds great!
Mines' on the way.....Which patches are you suing?

I bought the Getgooddrums.com All the Gains Kemper pack the night before. https://www.getgooddrums.com/collection ... emper-pack I used their Purple nightmare, Recto and JJ100 for this. Basically 17 heads, 2 profiles per head (rhythm & lead) and two IR's (mesa and zilla cabs). So far I like it and don't see myself going down any rabbit holes with profiles... I will say IR's make a huge difference in my opinion. I used their Mesa and a custom ML Mikko IR for this.

Sounds killer!
Thanks Victim! Honestly your AxeFX vids had me wavering between a Kemper and Fractal. In the end what I really wanted was something light like a toaster with a poweramp for those days you don't feel like lugging a 100 watter to practice. I still wonder about Fractal gear though.

sounds killer man!
Thanks dstroud!

When it comes to the heavies this is the best I've heard out of a Kemper, she really chugz!! This might be exactly what you need for home recording in an apartment where you can't crank up and mic your amps. The guitar tracks really do have a polished/pro sound to them. IMO high gain reactive load recordings can be a bit ragged sounding. Sometimes that's a good thing and sometimes it's not.

Anyway, looking forward to more of your Kemper recordings!

I have both and both are amazing. I just prefer the Fractal overall. It’s just a matter of personal choice.
But your clip sounds awesome man. Well done.

Thanks man. And I have to admit I kind of wish I got one of these a long time ago. I probably would have saved a lot of money and had a way easier time recording... oh well. For the first time ever I can see myself downsizing.

Congrats on your new baby, errrrrl!

Nice one, mate.
Thanks Monkey Man! Sadly i'm returning it to the seller. I bought a powered Kemper, he sent an unpowered one, I offered him to partial refund of return and got a email from Reverb telling me to box it up and send it back. So i'm looking for an actual powered Kemper now.

For the broots check out the Sinmix packs, there is a pretty good free pack, for lower gain stuff Michael Britt and Tone Junkie are great too. Have fun.
I used to use an Axe, but I just got tired of constant tweaking. Can't beat this thing laying down ideas and finding different sounds to a part.

yea.. you're clips are always right-on... though the music takes a different slant if you listen whilst watching g-ma knit one, purl two...

someone dumped a bunch of kemper profiles on here a while back...did you snag those by chance and try any of them? it was about 50-60 p'files... i grabbed them...just in case i ever got into kemper stuff...

Sounds great
Considering the Kemper stage
The all the gains pack isnt cheap but man its pretty much got everything for hi gain stuff
5153 Freidmans Archon VHT
Rectos etc
