I bet steve_K will come in with his leaf blower mod thing, and a picture of Jose on his donkey

It is basically an unbelievably overpriced, stock JMP. Did Jose work on it? Maybe... The Arrco Electronics sticker on back is real. But if he did anything, it looks like minor servicing to me. Certainly is not one of his gain mods. Bunch of telltale signs are missing...

I wouldn't pay a penny over $800 for that thing...

Steve

On the eBay link:

".............The Jose mods have a certain character of their own, and are still performed by Mark Cameron who inherited all of Jose’s technical data after he passed away."

WTF?

Real Jose mods involve alot of coiled wire wraaped around what I don't know...A power supply of some kind glued to underside of the chassis somewhere....and it basically looks a total mess in and ...noisy,hissy and sound like ass............most anyways

That sweet "ohm sticker mod" looks like vintage Jose, and worth every penny!

Jose and his brother Mark. Hose A and Hose B   I bet Jose ate frozen pizza too.

Looks like the only thing Jose did to that amp was install that impedance switch, Helen Keller braille impedance sticker and the Arrco sticker on the back. The circuit is stock. That's a delusional asking price. As Steve said, worth $800 bucks, the same as any normal used Marshall JMP.

Cheers,
Mike

JMP's are only going for 800$ now?? I was seeing them up around the 1100-1200 mark a few years back when I decided to get an 82 JCM800 combo instead.

You see people asking all kinds of crazy money, but you can find clean JMPs under $1000 all the time.
