Nailed it. It's definitely less refined in the top end compared to other Friedmans, it just snarls. Tons of wild harmonic content on sustained chords, I don't know how to describe it but when you're striking the higher strings doing dyads there's kind of a "velcro" sound to the notes, it's a weird description but it literally sounds like that to me haha. Makes the amp sound mean as fuck.
I'd love to test it with a 7 string guitar, I'm sure it would sound absolutely brutal. Even Meshuggah used Jose modded Marshalls...but then again they're not exactly "modern metal"

I haven't seen anyone do a video with this amp and the Scary Mod together. I wonder if you really need more gain anyway, but it might be interesting.

I can't imagine wanting even more gain than the amp already has, especially in the clipping diode modes. But I'm sure there's someone who will disagree

What's also interesting to me is that the amp does not have a thump knob, but it sounds like you don't need it. Maybe because it's 100 watter?

Yeah I really don't miss it to be honest. It's got plenty of bottom end in the right place, where it should be on guitars. It doesn't interfere with the bass guitar in a mix like a resonance/thump circuit often does. You can always blend in Volume 2 if you feel like having more bass. I prefer to keep it at 0, cuts like a knife in a mix this way!
